    Quick question… Isn’t he a monk? Monks don’t marry right? Eh…

Monks don’t get married, but the air nomads seem to be a society of nothing BUT monks. If they weren’t allowed to marry, then they would die out.

    i would think so lol

well if ya think about it, Aang is the last airbender meaning that his destiny also requires…umm…don’t take this the wrong way ppl…he has to repopulate the Air Nomads. Meaning he’s gonna have to get married and have kids. Or he’s not going to get married and have flings with other women.

accually i believe the women nomads lived away from the men at the Eastern and Western ar temples. Not sure bout Eastern but Western for sure.

    re : james

if the avatar dies in the avatar state, the line will come to an end and there will be no new ones.

but thats nearly impossible as he then has the power of ALL the past avatars.

    so. yea.

Katara decides to help Zuko find his mother when they find information that could lead to her location.

    Hi all,

I did some research on Monks out of curiousity. There are different levels of Monks. From Monks who marry and live among everyone else to Monks who choose to stay in a monastery. I do believe that in the show, they had a choice. Aang seems to really value all the lessons and the way of life that the Monks taught him (not eating meat, peaceful, love of animals and nature, not taking another life). So, I have to believe that he knew it was okay to get married, or he wouldn’t even consider it an option.
