For those who ask why are they taking so long, don’t know if you heard but there was a major strike from the Writer’s Guild of America (WGA) paralysing many productions, my guess is that Avatar was also affected. The strike is over now and the writer’s have a lot to work so just be patient it will come… someday xD

Before suicide bombing Disney, think about this:
- Anyone has the right to jump at a better job opportunity. You would too, I beleive. Let’s not get into the personal hate business here.
- Avatar is a major success of Nick. It’s highly unlikely they would want to cancel it.
- Nick has, in fact, made NO moves toward cancelling Avatar.
- In fact, they are buying time, telling ppl that they will first finish work on the DVD releases, and then return to continuing the show.
- Buying time means they want to continue it.
I beleive that there are great writers and artists around who can take up the show and continue.
I am quite sure that there is plenty of material - storyboards, plans, sketches and finished scenes lying around in the studios. They wouldn’t have to do stuff from scratch. It’s going to be more like cleaning up - think Cristopher Tolkien and The Silmarillion.
Of course it might get worse in quality, but in theory it might even become better. So I’m waiting for the DVD releases, and the remaining eps.

Animation and dubbing is a lot of work. I would much rather them wait for the proper talented people and creative assistance needed to make the episodes as great as the others have been, then have a crappy episode shoved out too early because they are worried about fans having to wait.

So, this new episode everyone wants….. We all just need to wait. I know it’s annoying, but it will be aired again (eventually…). THis show is way to popular and get’s way to much profit for the production team to just shut the whole thing down.
From what I have read above the set date for the episode seems to be May 6 of this year. So….I guess we’ll all just have to wait until then… (It’s depressing, but what else can we do?)

im 25 and i like the show so 17 isnt too old i just love good story telling and i am a martial artist and i love identifying the style of the characters ange uses ba gua xang it in nightmars and day dreams when he is walking in a circle its the circle walking for that is part of the inovation that keeps this art alive and flowing toph uses hising yi(very hard style, aggressiv, internal martial art} and kitara uses tie chi yang style yes it is a fighting art in the yang style and a healing art in the yin style which she was also trained in at the northern water tribe Sokka uses his mind which is the essence of a warrior with out sharp wits your just another head on the pile of defeated enemies ps the whole crew behind avatar left nick for Disney so the show is dead i hate that its dead but it is, the movie will be directed by m night shymalan and another movie by the same name with a very different story will be done by james cameron so remember which is which

i know i am add because i want to do every thing, the show needs someone with a lot of knowledge about martial arts especially the internal styles and all the magic, mythology, and history of eastern countries.
has any one ells noticed that the fire nation seems to be japan far to the west lower to middles of the map, believe that theirs is the superior culture. making unjust war and doing so through ambush and surprise attack. earth enders are chines the water benders are inuet (they are Asian native Americans) and the air benders are Tibetan if the new guy gets this and he knows how the cultures are similar in the book then the show might go on if not were fucked and my previous nonsensical ramblings of hate filled unfocused rage are my official statement of action.

Idiots. Eric Coleman is neither the writer nor one of the animators….
The important part of his job, which was finding, funding, and pushing for Avatar, is already done. By episode 14 in season 3, with a ton of momentum behind the show, Eric Coleman’s role as a ‘creative influence’ on the show is no longer required. His move to Disney won’t be the factor that has made the wait so long.

from a small town myself get teken and martial arts books both internal styls and external both hard and soft styles or just look for a torrent as i said ang uses ba gua (soft hard), toph uses hising yi (hard soft) and kitara uses tai chi very soft, i’m not sure what zuko uses but it looks to be a very hard style with emphesis on using internal chi with brute strength. you have the internet so you can find anything, not saying i enjoy this type of stuff but i find alot of terrorist vidios on you tube and you can’t help but trip over the vile forms of humanity so bcarful when you look the resorses to learn martial arts are out there, start with bruce lees jeet kun dao, its a good starting point as that where it ends

No I think that Aang will master all four elements with Zuko and defeat the fire lord, Katara and Aang will be in love and Aang will get the Avatar cycle going again, Toph will be the best earth/metal bender, Zuko will be the new fire lord with his uncle, and will bring peace to the world or Zuko will turn evil and his uncle will defeat him, I dunno maybe Zuko will be good, we will have to see and I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEW EPISODE!

I personally think (but hope I’m wrong) that the delay is because the creators are revamping the ending of book three to allow for more seasons. God, I REALLY hope not! Not because I haven’t enjoyed it, but because its OVER. One of the MANY good things about the serries is that they move at a good pace. The creators should know what kills a story and having three more seasons featuring “Sorry, but your Fire Lord is in another castle!” is going to be one of those killers! You MIGHT be able to squeese one more decent season (Book 4: Air), but… risqey! I love what Avatar has done so far, and I’m not ashamed to say that I’m 19, and this is one of the best things on television. Right up their with Heroes!

So yeah, I just checked out the imdb site for the air date for this episode and it’s saying April 18th. Not tryin to get anyone’s hopes up I’m just saying that this is another possible air date :P. Hello, you all Avatar lovers! I’m 26 and I love this show.
My advice: don’t have too high hopes, the show is dead. And if they will revive it again, it won’t be the same.
Different person in charge of it means different vision, so even the show will restart, it’s feeling won’t be the same.
That’s why I hate sometimes people, especially those that only think of themselves. And I don’t reffer here to the creators of the show, but to the Nickelodeon, the ones that made Eric Coleman go to Disney. The Avatar remained at Nickelodeon, but you see that without its creator, the show stopped.
So this is sad, but this is how the things are. Guess it’s back to mediocre shows, that corporations feed us with, but those of you that still have power of will, chose quality over quantity and avoid the over-advertised shows that are like an empty shell, with no meaning or purpose.
It was a show worth watching, but now my hope of seeing it’s end is gone. Bye!

Well my belief is that its not completely dead. I mean it could just be fanciful thinking but how could it be dead. It is/was one of the most popular shows to be on in generations they can’t just kill it like that. However, I do concede that things wont be the same with a different person at the helm. Besides, they still made the episodes, right? I mean they’re coming out with the 3rd season on DVD and that’s all they were really planning so if it really is over at least we (should) have the end of it.
@ Bobby- of course it’s not weird to be a 13 year old girl who likes this show….in fact I don’t see why everyone likes this show :P. It has an amazing plot, amusing humor, and is just an all around good show…one of the best I’ve seen in a LONG time.

Ok, Avatar will finally get it’s ass back on the air friday april 4th at 8:30 on nickelodeon. This is confirmed from nickelodeon (as in I found this out on nick.com). It is however unconfirmed that this will be 3/14 the boiling rock, or just a rerun because nick.com didn’t feel like telling people which episode will be airing.
